For many years, the number one thing I have heard from women as I travel and minister is that they feel isolated and alone in the things they feel called into by God. They are tired of atmospheres of jealousy and competition amongst women in ministry. They long for genuine mentorship and authentic friendship with women who have navigated the paths they want to walk on and who can stand with them and support them along the way.

When I was pastoring in the local church I was able to mentor women in small groups and coach them to step out into their callings and places of influence. I also gathered groups of established leaders and met regularly to encourage each other and dream together. I saw firsthand the acceleration and confidence that comes with good mentorship in an environment where it is safe to take risks and where there is no jealousy or competition. There are so many areas of ministry that require a unique skillset and it can be difficult and expensive to attain the skills needed to succeed. Women need more than information and preaching, they need face-to-face feedback, activation, and for other women to give them opportunities. Without it, they simply remain spectators to those who are shining brightly.

So in January 2023, I decided along with my Women on the Frontlines team, that we needed to meet this need by creating an interactive and relational community and mentoring program which we have called the:

WOFL ARISE LEADERSHIP COMMUNITY AND ACADEMY.

Our interactive academy and leadership community include:

  • Weekly mentoring calls from September - June on leadership development topics, with discussion in small groups with other female leaders

  • A private online leadership community where it is safe to ask questions of experienced mentors, take risks, and mentor others as you grow

  • A yearly WOFL Arise Community members-only retreat to connect, refresh, and receive powerful mentorship from mothers of the faith like Patricia King, Joan Hunter, and other powerful women of influence.

  • Invitations to be platformed through our WOFL social media and events

  • Opportunities to travel with us and minister right on the frontlines around the globe.

The two diagrams above illustrate both our leadership academy and our leadership community. For our training academy, we hold the same class multiple times each week so that you can fit our classes into your busy life. Classes are entirely optional and you can attend as often as you would like. They are intended to build you and encourage you. Classes are 1.5 hours long and include 20 minutes of group discussion followed by 40 minutes of coaching, and ending with 20 minutes of group discussion. Why do we use this format? We want you to find and use your voice, build relationships, and process and apply what we are teaching. Otherwise, it remains only information.

The other illustration you see here is our leadership community which is a private online community that hosts discussion circles on topics that many women long to be mentored in. These discussion circles are safe places to process questions and opinions without the attacks that come in a public social media forum. Each discussion circle has a mentoring team assigned, but women cross-mentor in each group and bring their experience and wisdom to help others. Many of our community members feel called to build women and have found their place and voice in helping us build the community.

This may come as a surprise to you, but our Arise Leadership Community and Academy program is not for sale. It is simply given as a part of our mission at no charge to any of our female partners who are giving one dollar per day ($30.00 per month) or more to our WOFL charity that supports women in desperate need around the globe. It is also given at no charge to full-time leaders on the mission field in the third world.

So I hope you will join us, we are excited to be hosting this program and bringing together a company of women who encourage, support, empower, and equip each other as we walk out our dreams and destiny together. It’s time to be equipped and mobilized into your life’s purpose!
